Breakaway Outreach is a nonprofit operating since 1995 based in Tennessee, USA. The founders, Jimmy and Cindy Larche started the organization primarily to help at-risk teens in South Florida juvenile detention centers. Over the years, with the help of many others, this movement has grown into an international network operating from the fringes of Chattanooga, TN, USA to the ends of the earth.
Promoting local, regional and global partnerships, their mission network mobilizes communities and multiplies movements to engage youth with creative programs, mentoring solutions and leadership development.
Specifically, the collaboration with Zaphira Education consists of offering young people the opportunity to practice different sports and activities in English on the Italian territory. It was a collaboration born by chance many years ago, when Zaphira Education had not yet taken the form it has today. But the sharing of our vision has been maintained over the years, and the projects carried out together have brought us this far. We deeply believe that sports is "a universal language" that creates deep bonds beyond diversity of language, culture, or any other kind, and that indeed has the power to change the world.
